When Vogue Italia’s editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani, beseeched a petition for those in the fashion industry to promote healthier body image standards in its models, she wasn’t kidding. Since launching a petition against pro anorexia websites and censuring fashion leaders who condone unhealthy eating habits back in March, Sozzani has put her money where her mouth is by featuring three plus size models on the June cover of Vogue Italia. We all know that we have much to learn from the Italians when it comes to fashion and beauty, so its no wonder they have taken it upon themselves to be the leaders in reshaping how we perceive what is beautiful.
