If that’s not the sweet face of piety and chastity, I don’t know what is! (Image via Bossip)
In what has to be the most successful application of mea culpa since then South Carolina Governor, Mark Sanford, announced he extinguished taxpayer dollars to visit his Argentinian mistress because he was “in love” with her, Ex-Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, now joins the my bad club amidst last night’s press release, which confirms his split from Maria Shriver was a result of her discovering he fathered a child with a female house staffer.
This news shouldn’t come as a surprise, really (please refer to the above image for evidence), but it does provide impetus for a significant discussion that needs analysis: Why can’t men in positions of power keep the banana in the hammock?!? I wonder if The Governator realizes his luck in this situation, since he apparently happened to take his affair to the last loyal and self effacing individual on the planet, who unlike Tiger Woods’ 27 lady loves opted not to take her piece of the media prize by selling the story out to the hundreds of salivating news agencies thirsting for a story of this caliber. In fact, The Los Angeles Times who first broke this story, reports the female house staffer who bore The Governator’s child refused to acknowledge the true identity of the child’s father to the news agency, maintaining until the very end that her husband at the time was the sperm donator. That was until The Los Angeles Times let her in on the fact that the Governator had already called a press conference to address his mea culpa, at which point the female house staffer, who “retired” earlier this year, proceeded to make the statement that, “Oh, well I still have no comment”. Now that is true loyalty.
Something tells me Maria Shriver will not reciprocate that loyalty by distributing any recommendations for the female staffer, who worked with the family for over 20 years, to any future prospective employers.
